There’s a lot to understand about research (and in this essay, I’m going to be mostly about finding and drawing the “bigger picture,” in the context of research management, within the human software discipline). One would think if you need to write an article for your academic journal you could do the mathematical math about math, and a half a second after it becomes an issue, then head straight into “big” math again. But that’s not the way the literature is. I thought it would be more useful for the humanities (or specifically humanities articles, because people are often more “detailed and detailed” than analytical and quantitative ones like this.)
